State Health Officials Set Up A 'Crisis Line'
for Victims of Rape and Sexual Assault

jimYou are more likely to be sexually assaulted in Utah than in many other areas of the United States--including New York or California.
jimUtah ranks 13th nationally, with 85 rapes per 100,000 females. By contrast, New York comes in 46th with a rate of 45.6, while California ranks 26th. The national rate is 72.5 per 100,000. These figures are 1995, the latest available data from the FBI.
