SEATTLEReal Beer, Inc. owner of the world's largest internet site for beer www.realbeer.com has reached an agreement with Utah Brewer's Cooperative to begin marketing Polygamy Porter and three other beers from the Utah group online in 20 states through Real Beer's Rare Beer Store.
Polygamy Porter received media attention this month when an outdoor advertising agency breached contract with the Cooperative and refused to erect a billboard that featured a scantily clad man and a six-pack of wives that the agency deemed offensive to the large Mormon population in Utah.
The story was picked up internationally and requests have been pouring in for the bee.
"We are very pleased to be working with Real Beer to be able to legally provide beer to the many enthusiasts around the country that have expressed an interest, particularly since we have received all the attention," said Greg Schrif, president of The Utah Brewer's Cooperative, adding, "We think we've got a great product, and now we have the chance to show it off to the rest of the country."
