Dear Jim,
Why are there no crosses on LDS Churches? Kelly |

Kelley, Mormonism downplays the Cross. Christ's work on the Cross does not buy salvation for sinners, it merely buys them resurrection. Salvation--exaltation--in Mormonism is a human work through obedience to law. Mormons often say, "If Jesus had been killed with a hand gun would you wear a pistol around your neck?" So Mormonism completely misses the value of the cross. As the Bible says, "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." (I Cor. 1:18) Thanks for your interest in Through the Maze Ministries. I am mailing you a packet of information I think you will find helpful.
