Dear Jim,

Thank you for sending me the info. Your story is a great encouragement to me. I have wonderful Mormom friends who went to BYU Idaho and were married in the Idaho Falls temple I have been praying for them and trying to be the best friend they could have as well as reading just about anything that I can get my hands on about Mormonism.

As I told you when I placed my order I was looking for a copy of The Miracle of Forgiveness on Amazon and stumbled on to your web site. Isn't God wonderful!

Actually after reading my friend's copy of TMOF I think that it should more correctly be called It's A Miracle If You Get Forgiveness! Kimball [Spencer W. Kimball] claims that Jesus is unable to forgive sin and that if you sin and repent but sin the same sin again the first repentance is wiped out and you now have to repent double time to be forgiven. Talk about putting heavy loads on men's backs and not lifting a finger to help.

What about the story of the man who's bed was let down through the roof so that Jesus could heal him? Jesus looked at him and said, "Your sins are forgiven." The Jewish leaders went nuts about that one (only not out loud)! Jesus heard their thoughts and said "What is easier to say your sins are forgiven or take up your bed and walk? But so that you may know that the Son of God has power to forgive sins I say take up your bed and walk."

Guess Mr. Kimball didn't read the whole Bible or chose to ignore that powerful story.
