No, my husband knows how I feel and I think he's feeling the same way. We really don't fit in although we try.

He does not do well with change so joining the church in the first place was a difficult thing. Thinking of leaving after that would be hard nut we both agree that what is best is to find the right enviornment for our children to grow up with faith.

Neither one of us has enough religious education to really make a strong stand for any church. We just wanted a good place for our kids. We weren't raised with much so we wanted to do better and this church does put a lot into their youth. I just can't look my kids in the eye and tell them to be faithful so they can be a God someday.

Is there anyone in Southern Ccalifornia that you know of that we could talk with? I'm so thirsty for more information and not sure where to start.

Thank you so much for being honest with yourself and everyone else.

Charlotte Pardee (or anyone else) at ex-Mormons for Jesus in Orange, California would be delighted to talk to you in person or on the phone. 714-997-3498. They are located at 226 W. Chapman Ave 92866 (mail is Box 489 Orange 92856.

And, I am glad to answer any questions I can from here. You can email me or email me your number and I'll call you.

You don't need to be in a hurry to join a church. But I would begin visiting churches. Southern Baptist, Assembly of God, (I am licensed Foursquare). Just go, listen and discern. If they are too wacko or too liberal, don't go back. I'm praying you find a Christian friend or neighbor who can direct you. This time you will be a little more discening, knowing first hand that there are "false brothers" out there.

Continue to read my site and others. Also, go to a Christian Bookstore and buy a copy of _Mere Christianity_ by C. S. Lewis, or anything by Billy Graham. The people in the bookstore can help you. (_Not_ a Deseret_ or _Beehive_ bookstore. Also, if you visit a church, you can email me and ask me what I know about that denomination. As a matter of fact, I think I'll send you my book _Bleeding Hearts and Propaganda_ and my book _Hard Case Witnessing_ because there is lots of information in them regarding the elements of the faith.
