Deseret Books
Good morning Mr. Spencer, I have completed 3 discussions with the LDS missionaries and more importantly have done some independent research into the LDS faith by accessing your website as well as Saints Alive and Walter Martin's website. I am truly shocked at what i have discovered regarding their doctrine. And while the Book of Mormon contains Bible-ese words it seems to be very choppy. And I have also noticed the phrase "and it came to pass" leading off many paragraphs. I look forward to receiving your info packet and book. While perusing your website I noticed the book "Have you witnessed to a Mormon Lately" and some interesting sounding videos and tapes. Would you suggest purchasing any of these from you after I read your book? And also, do you know where I can get a copy of "Mormon Doctrine". This seems to be the LDS book most referenced from website artcles quoting LDS doctrine.

Thanks for your time. Please continue to pray for me as I seek God's will for my life.

Sincerly,

Bill

  Bill,

You can actually download _Have You Witnessed to a Mormon Lately?_ and manyother books on my web site for free. But I did send a catalog with _Beyond Mormonism: An ElderŐs Story_ in my package to you.

The link at the top of this post will take you to Deseret Books online where you can order McConckie's book _Mormon Doctrine_. Lots of good sites besides mine. You can find, for example, the Journal of Discourses.

Sounds like you are on the right track.

Be glad to help anyway I can.
